Top New Year’s Resolutions

I want to write a blog post about New Year’s Resolutions. I have done a little bit of research and ran across some of the most common ones. You may find others that are just as prevalent, but these are the ones I see year after year:

Top Resolutions

1 Lose Weight

I guess this one should surprise no one. When we talk about change we often think of physical transformations before anything else. It also helps (or hurts, depending on how you look at it) that New Years happens right after all of the holiday eating and weight gain. Anyway, losing weight is the #1 resolution as evidenced by the crowded gyms you see every January. As a side note, I’d highly recommend you check out this helpful review if this is one of your resolutions: http://musclereview.net/3-week-diet-review/. It is a worthwhile approach getting rid of fat.

2 Getting Organized

A lot of people don’t feel like they have their lives together. This can mean anything from a messy desk to an out-of-control schedule. But it’s important to pay your bills on time, know where everything is, and have some sense of order in your life. This is another good goal to consider for this New Year.

3 Spend Less, Save More

I really wish that saving money was as fun as spending it, but that’s just not the case. Regardless, most of us could tighten our budget and put more money aside if we put our minds to it. Writing out a monthly budget and sticking to it is a really good way to save. I’ve heard people say it was like having a raise when they actually kept track of earning and spending.

4 Enjoy Life to the Fullest

This one is a little bit more difficult to set specific goals for, but it may be that you are just not stopping to smell the proverbial roses. Perhaps you put so much time into work that you just don’t make any time to enjoy life. It may be a good idea just to set some time for yourself to go do something fun every once in a while.

 5 Staying Fit and Healthy

This one is closely related to #1, but it does deeper than just the number on the scale. It could mean just getting better overall control of your diet and eating less junk food. It may be that you need to exercise more, regardless of your weight. You only have one body so focusing time on taking care of it is a good thing.

It’s not too late to start planning for a great New Year!
